Like most new-age girls wanting to realize their worth, I was graduating from college in 2010 and was thinking about what kind of job I was looking for. By chance, I entered the foreign trade industry that matched my major but knew nothing about it.
From May 30, 2010, to May 2017, I worked in two foreign trade companies successively and learned a lot of knowledge and experience.
Until I found out that I was pregnant, one year later after I married Mr. Geng, and because of many factors, I finally decided to quit my job to recuperate at home.

I started having the idea of starting my own business 11 months after my daughter was born. I have to say that taking a child for a long time is really a test of patience for mothers. If you do not manage your emotions well, it is very easy to have bad problems. So, I started to prepare my own business while raising my children. After all, raising children in China is still a huge expense.
Helen is the part-owner of DANGMAICO
So we registered the business license on December 6, 2018, aiming to sell the sport casual shoes made in our hometown Wangdu.
DANGMAICO used to be Alibaba-paid members for 3 years
We have a good start in the first two years after we pay a b2b platform Alibaba. However, due to the policy adjustment of the Alibaba platform, the change from b2b to b2c is not conducive to small companies like us. Coupled with the impact of the global epidemic COVID-19 in 2019, our seaborne export orders have been greatly affected. So we stopped paying for the Alibaba platform in February this year and are still looking for a new way out.
DANGMAICO pay outsource a website in 2020
In 2020, we hired someone to outsource to build a foreign trade marketing website which cost us 4K in 2 years, but the effect was not very good—just another tuition fee.

We are still working hard for dangmaicoshoes. After 2 months of study, we have made a basic website www.dangmaico.com by ourselves, and intend to give 100% effort on this website. Although our website building technology belongs to the basic novice, we still do not give up. Now the economy and foreign trade industry are facing unprecedented challenges, just like us small SOHOs living at the bottom of the foreign trade industry, but we still have the confidence to continue to struggle and keep learning.
